An Invitation to Apply for
Lake Stevens Education Foundation Executive Director


The Lake Stevens Education Foundation (LSEF) is a charitable organization whose mission is to support public education within the Lake Stevens School District by providing programs, scholarships, grants and materials to enhance the education experience.

The main focus of the Executive Director is fund-raising, continued development of community support and daily management of the Foundation as directed by the Executive Committee.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the operations of the Foundation Board of Directors
  • Providing recommendations, directing efforts and supporting the Board on such matters as fund-raising, program development and execution, board and committee roles and development
  • Performing community outreach and development with the Lake Stevens School District, PTA's, businesses and the community (community and school events, newsletters, brochures, media press, etc.)
  • Identifying, pursuing and making applications for Grants to support the activities and programs of the Foundation
  • Directing the timely execution of LSEF work programs, including fund-raising, financial transactions, correspondence, donor records management and maintenance and other associated activities
  • Working with the President and Board to inform and promote the work of the Foundation in the public domain and to facilitate contributions I support of the mission of the Foundation.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration and/or related field and three (3) years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a community, non-profit or other development organization or position.
  • Investment experience preferred.
  • Have a passion for the mission of public education in Lake Stevens.

Part-time position (20 hours/week) for $20,000 - $22,000/year.

Anticipated start date: November 3, 2008
